Barr-Reeve Invite

Yesterday we had a Cross Country Invitational at Barr-Reeve. I, personally, did horrible. It was really hot and the whole time I felt like I was going to pass out. I was more focused on finishing without dying than running my fastest. At the end, a fellow team-mate and myself were sprinting are hardest. My team-mate passed a kid and I was gaining. In the last 5 meters, I passed him. But, the official put him in front of me, and said that he beat me. I got very angry and started arguing with him. I was clearly in front of the kid at the end! In the end, the official told me that if I kept arguing I'd get disqualified. It was a bad race. =(

Cross Country

Hey again. So, as some of you know, I am a die-hard Cross Country runner. I live for running. Lately I've been hurting, though. I ran good at the last couple of Invitationals, but my shins and my ankles are starting to hurt. I know this is from overuse and I've tried to tell my coach, but he thinks icing will fix everything. I think I'm going to talk to him today and see if I can rest some. I have to be able to run my best at Regionals so we can get to Semi-State.
